If a person suffers from bodily harm or mental anguish, or even death from the negligence of another party, the person of the personal representative can initiate a personal injury claim. 

It is noteworthy that, generally, the limitation period for personal injury claims is 3 years from the date of the injury. Otherwise, the injured person is debarred from initiating such claim.
